About Us

Dr. Kevin Nguyen, owner and dentist at Flow Dentistry, is deeply committed to providing personalized, comprehensive dental care for the Huntington Beach community he calls home. Born and raised in Orange County, Kevin grew up in Garden Grove before moving to Huntington Beach in high school, where much of his extended family still resides. Returning to open his own practice in his hometown is a dream come true, allowing him to care for the community that shaped him. Dr. Nguyen’s path to dentistry began on a volunteer mission trip to Vietnam, where his mentor, Dr. Timothy Bui, showed him the transformative impact dentistry can have—not just on oral health, but on a person’s confidence and outlook. After earning his undergraduate degree in biochemistry with a minor in music history at UCLA, he attended Western University of Health Sciences College of Dental Medicine. Since graduating, he has practiced throughout Orange County, honing his skills in restorative and esthetic dentistry.

A passionate learner, Dr. Nguyen is a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, Orange County Dental Association, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and actively pursues continuing education through organizations such as Spear Education and RIPE Global. His professional focus includes restorative dentistry, cosmetic smile makeovers, and dental implants—especially the artistry involved in creating functional, beautiful smiles that improve both health and confidence.

For Dr. Nguyen, dentistry is both a science and an art. Much like his lifelong love for piano, dance, photography, and other creative pursuits, he sees dentistry as an opportunity to enter a “flow state”—fully present, focused, and intentional. This philosophy inspired the name Flow Dentistry, reflecting the harmony, energy, and connection he shares with his team, his patients, and his community.

Outside the office, Kevin enjoys traveling with his wife Cathy, his high school sweetheart, hiking, exploring local farmers markets, DJing, and creating music. They share their home with two cats, Misa and Jade, and love spending time with their extended family across Huntington Beach and Orange County. Whether in the dental chair, on a piano bench, or behind a camera, Dr. Nguyen is always seeking ways to create meaningful experiences and help others “find their flow.”
